The only thing that worked for me after A YEAR (literally) of trying (off and on) to get past this crazy section was googling until I found a suggestion of turning the camera x-axis and y-axis to "inverted." I don't have any idea what that really did but somehow I moved better after that and was able to enter the frigging doorway in the house before getting chopped by the red-headed twin.
