My vote goes to the dire lance. My love of spears notwithstanding,
shock pikes and fire lances seem to be built for mass troop deployment,
for dozens of lesser soldiers to simultaneously strike at a single
powerful enemy. One of the Chosen, on the other hand, has no need of
such a vulgar strategy...

I like 'em myself. Too bad most systems don't give them
no respect. Exalted seems better in that area.

Wish there were moe spear-wielding martial arts too, since
it's a classic wushu weapon.

shock pikes and fire lances seem to be built for mass troop deployment,

Shock Pikes seem like the perfect thing to equip your massed
troops with, if you can. Keeps your training focused on
one fighting skill, and with less chance of accidentally
burning down stuff than the Fire Lance.

One of the Chosen, on the other hand, has no need of
such a vulgar strategy...

Also, no hearthstone setting in the other two. Clearly, they
are for those who do not merit[1] a manse.

This build idea is one of the Dune People, probably a Night
Caste, whose iconic anima will be either Snake or Scorpion.

I'm thinking Dire Lance with Adder's Eye hearthstone.
