I think returning the sim is harsh as well but then again I havent played it that much either and its just the principal of mine about not returning stuff thats not defective that keeps me owning it. Im being petulant but then again to have such blatent disregard shown by the makers of the sim towards those of us who argued so well on the SimHq boards was to me just a slap in the face. It wasnt like we were asking for a features that werent already there they were but they were just disabled to make all the Boasters of Large Swantzes Multiplay Freaks happy.....stuff like. 1. Range that padlock is activated....currently its 3 kilometers or for my fellow Americans 1.8 miles....what the hell is that about..? 1.8 miles and I can read the pilots nametags much less pay close attention to the plane. Tally has been achieved by pilots as far out as 10 miles....6 miles was the standard in WW1 where the planes were smaller. So we get 1.8 miles...is someone throwing sop to the low life snapviewers...??? 2. Select Realistic and you get NO PADLOCK....never mind that padlock is a term used by RLtm pilots to denote exactly that action that padlock in sims SIMULATES keeping your eyes on the ball. Nope Multiplay Snapview Freaks dont like it so away it goes.... 3. Padlock breaks so easily that my virtual pilot must be a 80 pound weakling that cannot hold his neck in any position. 4. Go behind something and padlock breaks and the view snaps back to the front...WTF is that about..??? No pilot looking at a plane to avoid contact is gonna stop looking in the general direction if he loses tally. There is much more but I dont feel like flying it to list them..I would rather play the demo of Medal of Honor. PAPA DOC I know that for many veteran players the padlock feature is important, but can't you see the beauty of the sim?
