I reformated my extra hard drive by going to my computer and right click and select manage.Then i selected disk management.Then i selected the hard drive which i was reformating. I right click on that selection and then select format. It cleared the entire drive off then i selected NTFS since i was moving it to a XP machine and that was it. It is running normally with xp in the NTFS format. Good Luck Hope this is of some use to you.
