Jacks Open ended up beating Fast Draw by 3 votes. OXO spanked Surf

Eh, whatcha gonna do? While Jacks Open is a good game, I'm not big on
the drop targets placed perpendicular to the PF.

Jim!
I'm completely gob-smacked. A Gottlieb guy voting for a Williams
game.
Unbelievable.

Well, geez, if they were parallel to the playfield, they'd be rollovers!

Come on, John! You've never played Close Encounters. What I meant was
perpendicular versus having at least some pitch.

Ok smart guys. ;-) I was referring to the drop targets versus the PF in
respect to 2D axis system, (I was looking at the line drawing in the
parts catalog). If you want to factor a z-axis in there, be my guest. :-)

I think you mean perpendicular to a line drawn from the center of the
flippers, like Jack-in-the-box, and Kingpin, vice games like Royal
Flush, Spirit of 76, etc.
I can't help it. It's that old Math degree...

On that subject, more or less,

wasn't there some game that had flip-up targets? They were hinged at
the top, and folded out of the way when the ball hit them or something.

Jim,
No need to listen Chris "Descartes" Hibler here. I knew what you were
referring to. It's one of the things that make FD, So76 and JQ so
appealing to me.
Although, I never met a drop target I didn't like. (perpundicular or
correctly angled) : )
