Hi, So I was in a rush to sell WWF before the first load of wood pellets arrived. I had two buyers. One came rushing down to look at the game 8 days ago, and decided to get it. Left me a non-refundable deposit so I could hold it til Wed morning (two days ago). The deal was he would pick it up Wed morning so I could stack the first round of pellets (two tons worth). I also was working from home while they delivered the pellets and installed the stove. Wed came and went. Get an email that he's not coming, can I do it Friday (today) or this weekend. I have since started to move the pellets in the basement and they are everywhere because the pin is in the way. I can't do this weekend or Fri, he then suggests Thur. I say fine, after work, 5-7pm. I get another email yesterday afternoon, he can't make it, how about Friday (today). He has the day off, I can pick the time. Sure, early morning, since I am working and have meetings, not to mention I am not making a special trip home mid-day since I was home all day Wed when it was supposed to be picked up in the first place. 9am comes and goes, never get an email if he's coming or not. No email now and its 11:15. I told him this was exactly what I didn't want happening, which he said wouldn't (and it did). I also told him that I am reposting and will sell to the other guy, which means he loses that deposit. Am I reasonable to allow this to drag a few days, since the deal was hold til Wed morning, and now Friday I don't hear anything? The end result is I get fucked, since its twice the work now stacking these bags of pellets and another shipment is coming soon. BTW, anyone wants a WWF, its now available for 700 again Chris (in NH)

This is a full kit for Funhouse. Bcspinball will be at EXPO this weekend and next weekend at YORK. Here are some pics and some quick videos to demonstate his new lamps. I'm sure he has some other games at the show to demonstrate.

| Re: TOM Flashers Not Working Lloyd Olson 10:29:58 |
| | Try and narrow down the problem. Power at the sockets ? If so - then bad bulb or bad socket. Power leaving the power driver board ? Yes ? then you have a break between there and the bulbs, start following wires ( not likely ) No power leaving the power driver board ? Then check the flasher voltage test point, if that is good, then check across and through board continuity, no power at the test point ? Then check bridge rectifier, fuse and fuse holder. And if all else fails, check AC power from the transformer to the power driver board.
I'm sure you have a simple fix here, you just need to figure where the power stops. LTG

All flasher lights are not working on my Theatre of Magic. I swapped out the bulbs with replacements and swapped out the power driver board with another working power driver board which was repaired by Coin-Op Cauldron and tested in my TZ, but the flashers are still not working in either gameplay or from the flasher tests in the menu. I cannot find any broken wires either. The fuses were also checked and they appear to be fine. All connectors have been rechecked and reconnected as well. The only strange thing that I could find under the playfield is a six pin Molex connector which is not mated to another Molex connector. At this point I am not sure what else to check. In the backbox the wedge 906 bulbs are not lighting either and do not light during any of the lighting/flasher tests from the menu. I am not sure what else to try at this point. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance. Gordon Bowar

Looking to find any type of sound board that has crowd cheering or something similiar. Do not care what kind of machine it comes out of. Wanting to enhance game I am restoring. Any suggestions welcome. Frank Thomas' Big Hurt comes to mind... There were many other machines with cheering crowds, though their names escape me at this early hour...

| Pacific Pinball Exposition Game Count: 350 Danny 09:38:54 |
| | Pinball historian Gordon Hasse made a list of all the games at the Pacific Pinball Exposition Friday afternoon and it totaled 350 games. That includes about 25 non-pinball EM gun games, pitch and bats, etc. Thats's about 50 games more than last year.
Some highlights for me were a 1965 Bank-A-Ball that was restores to PERFECT condition. Even the apron was amazing. Same too for the Majorettes next to it. There is also a perfect Funhouse (too bad its not for sale).
Lots and lots of solid state games from the 1980s and 1990s this year. Newer games include POTC, Elvis, Shrek, Nascar, RCT, MM, TZ, NGG, AFM, CP and many, many others. Most of the ones listed are for sales including a NIB Batman.
Plus probably the largest collection of wedge heads and woodrail games ever assembled at a pinball show including most of the great titles including Knockout, Classy Bowler, most of the "Flipper" line of games, Slick Chick (one of the best EMs IMHO) and literally hundreds more.
You won't be disappointed!
See you there! I'm ususally hanging out by my Rock-ola games (Jigsaw, World Series, and Army-Navy) in the "Rare Machines" area.

Ok, here's an update. I found a broken trace going from U1 to z3-- fixed that and the board appears to boot ok on my workbench with the 5 volt power supply. But then there's the next issue--I look it out to the machine and plugged it in, and it won't boot--there's no clock pulses at U1 on pins 37 or 39 at all. Z3 has pulses on it, btw, in case that makes any difference. Have a new rottendog power supply as well, shows that 5v is coming out. I have not done any grounding mods yet since the board works on the bench. Just plugging in J1 by itself doesn't make difference either, still no bootup. Any suggestions? I'm guessing that it has to do with the power supply or ground, since those are the only two real differences. Thanks! Taylor34 |

| Re: Tech: Gottlieb ground bus in bottom cabinet advice Gott Lieb? 08:12:20 |
| | My guess is that someone tried to reflow the solder on the ground plate, and scorched some of the wires. It takes a heck of a lot of heat to get the solder to flow on that thing. Now that I looked at your pic again, you can see some staining on upper and left side of the ground plate. Someone possibly used flux on the solder and plate, and it wicked up the wiring on the left.

| | Hi Dave,
it sounds like the cpu board is not booting up. Of course, a myriad of reasons for that. Corrosion, bad 6532 RIOTs, etc. What happens when you power cycle (turn on and off) the game? does is consistently return to the 1s in all the digits?
According to Clay's System 80 document if you see all 1s in the player one display it means the 5 VDC fuse is blown; not likely in your case, but it's an easy thing to check.
