I've bought quite a few "new" RPGs and other PC games over the last 12
months that have been like that. Also, it seems to be happening more
often.
Ah, yes... the joys of unregulated ( er, scamBay) shopping... ... well, you gets what (little) you pays for it.....
I much prefer to buy my games from legitimate on-line retailers when they are on-sale or at budget prices. And for any retail games with an on-line component (w/unique "CD-Key") or Steam validation, NEVER ever buy from any other than a legitimate source.

I gave him a bad rating for selling bogus stuff and he gave me
a bad rating in return for "doing a bad transaction" which just goes
to show that the rating system isn't worth much.
One of the few things Ebay/Paypal did right is change it so you only rate sellers. Otherwise, it's just a mutual distruction thing for the scammers. But I still hate Ebay/Paypal.
