| Little guys working Peter Knutsen 19:41:07 |
| | There's something fascinating about seeing all those little guys and girls working in real time, in Age of Empires II. Not so much the fighting, but the building of a settlement.
At the same time, I want to be able to control the guys and girls directly. I've tried Settlers 1, and also either 3 or 4 (possibly both) and that's not for me.
Are there any games similar to Age of Empires II, but preferably with little or no combat? Some kind of economic struggle instead would be more fun.

| Dominions 3 - resolutions Vincenzo Beretta 23:27:43 |
| | I'm enjoying my new 24" monitor BenQ FP241WZ, and a lot of wargames and strategy games really benefit from the extra estate. However, launching Dominions 3 I see support for my native resolution (1920x1200) in the options panel, but it is greyed out, as are higher resolutions (the maximum allowed is 1680x1050, which means interpolation and stretching on an LCD monitor).
Any ways to enable higher resolutions? I have a GeForce 7800GTX with the latest drivers (installed a couple of days ago) and 2GB RAM.

I know this game has not been released yet, but has anyone been following its development? I just became aware of it recently and it has caught my interest. I've been looking for a good World War II strategic/operational naval game for Mac ever since Victory at Sea sank without a trace a decade ago.

| Coh Opposing Usage Ajk 15:04:02 |
| | Well I must say, this is the first time I buy a game which I can't play directly without being prompted for some bloody patch that doesn't download.
The first CoH was wonderful, finally a game where the publisher trusted the buyer but this new scheme is just ridiculous. I think this was the last time I buy from THQ - what a company of morons.

| Evil Genius: Unlock all rooms cheatcodes? Peter Knutsen 20:58:19 |
| | Is there a cheatcode for unlocking all rooms, in Evil Genius?
I've looked at the GameFAQs site, and haven't found anything.
I'm interested only in rooms, nothing else. I want to "experience the game", i.e. get every minion type, object type and so on the "straight way", but with the ability to lay out my base in advance, in-game

| Company of Heroes Opposing Forces Product Protection Senica 16:27:26 |
| | After installing the online patch and creating a user account the game can be played without the DVD. The graphics have been improved, the load time has been improved, the game play has been improved plus installation involves one DVD and not 6 CD's. If something is made fool proof only fools will use it.

| game recommendation J 06:01:00 |
| | I'd like to get some game reviews/recommendations. I've been through a long period (years, since Imperialism 2, basically) playing no strategy games. I decided to end this, and I'd heard enough good things about the following games that I bought "Strategy Pack 6" for $40, which includes the games
Crusader Kings Victoria Victoria Revolutions Europa Universalis II Hearts of Iron II Hearts of Iron Doomsday
Now I'm wondering where to start. This is of course a completely subjective decision, so maybe instead of telling me which game I should play first, can anyone tell me what you like or don't like about any of them? If you've played several of them, how do they compare?
I've looked through old posts in this group and found links for VickyWiki and EU2Wiki; any similar information would also be helpful.
Thanks a lot.

| New Company if Heroes add on won't install Bunboy 03:03:23 |
| | Tried everything I could think of which is a bunch and keep getting a message that the installer won't work. that there already is a copy of the game and it will uninstall it. It doesn't uninstall the original which of course you don't want it too. Get that little protected by dome shield or some such copy protect message and that's it. I had big problems with new medal of honor and their web site was loaded with others having the same problem and very similar to this. What the heck's going on here, these are high end classy games and I feel like the old days of DOS checking my sound card and such a million times to get a game just to install?

Multiplayer is the best I've ever seen for any RTS.

I m currently playing through Stronghold deluxe s missions and am stuck in the mission with the fens (go through a castle of the pig, enter the fens, all before the main army of the pig arrives). I already searched for walkthroughs but both of those I found depend on a strategy to very accurately position your troops of archers to pick off the enemys crossbowmen on the towers while still being out of their range - and I utterly fail in that... Any other idea? Noone? Anyone playing the game? The mission I m stuck is mission 15.
